Why we treat Health & Safety seriously
The health and safety of our operatives and the clients they serve is of paramount importance to us. We therefore invest in and adhere to the highest safety standards delivered through the following:
Health & Safety Accreditation Recognised by the (HSE)
Accredited Worksafe Contractor with Safety Management Advisory Group Ltd. (SMAS) under the Safety Schemes in Procurement Forum. These Standards are recognised by the HSE as proving a high standard of H&S Management, and as such are required by most large client organisations.
Both the building and scaffolding companies are registered Worksafe Contractors.
Health and Safety Management
Our own Health & Safety Department which constantly monitors legislation to ensure we meet new our legal requirements. From regular site visits, assessments and provision of essential H&S information to our operatives, we constantly aim for the highest levels of safety management.
Health & Safety Training
No-one can expect high health and safety standards without the investment in the relevant training. We have not only trained our employees but also our sub-contractors to ensure all our workers are up to the same standards we and our clients require.
Site Health & Safety Testing
All our operatives carry CSCS cards. These cards not only prove the craft level they have but also that they have passed recognised health and safety testing.

Davie Brothers Ltd & Davie Brothers (Scaffolding) Ltd are certified Worksafe Contractors In line with H&S legislation and Industry best practice, many clients will only use contractors and consultants who have demonstrated the appropriate level of competence in their H&S management systems. SSIP affiliated schemes ensure assessments meet the stringent criteria set by the HSE. SMAS Worksafe schemes are assessed to this standard. |
Davie Brothers Ltd & Davie Brothers (Scaffolding) Ltd have achieved this award for the number of CSCS carded workers they employ The Construction Skills Certification Scheme card is the industry's largest competence scheme and, at present, covers 220 occupations and includes supervisory and management levels. |
Davie Brothers Ltd & Davie Brothers (Scaffolding) Ltd have achieved this award. The Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme (CISRS) aims to ensure that operatives erecting, altering or dismantling scaffolds are properly trained and have sufficient experience to carry out work safely and correctly. |
