They work in partnership with CITB Northern Ireland and the Construction Industry Council (CIC), as the Sector Skills Council for Construction. This organisation is called ConstructionSkills.

Construction Skills Certification Scheme - CSCS

The Construction Skills Certification Scheme card is the industry's largest scheme and, at present, covers 220 occupations including trades, technical, supervisory and management. CSCS cards list the holder’s qualifications and are valid for either three or five years. It also shows they have health and safety awareness as all cardholders have to pass the appropriate CITB-ConstructionSkills Health and Safety Test.

Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme – CISRS

The Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme (CISRS) aims to ensure that operatives erecting, altering or dismantling scaffolds are properly trained and have sufficient experience to carry out work safely and correctly. CITB-ConstructionSkills issues record cards to operatives who have completed the required training, gained appropriate experience and achieved the relevant NVQ/SVQ. .
